666 - Part I of II

Guitars, guitars, guitars! @ 明大通り

At Budokan! Here's the tent that you need to visit to exchange for the cover parade album/mini. The guy in blue looks so serious in directing the crowd...(what crowd?)

Look at the stack of cover parade CDs on the right!

The infamous INSANITY SAUCE hanging in the wind...

hahahaha...:) :D

The four trading card machines... everyone was allowed only 3 tries, but even with that restriction in place, the cards were the first goods to be sold out!

That's the complete set of trading cards... which they displayed for us to see... after the cards were sold out... orz...

YEAH!!! Tatsu-supporters!!! These chaps were hilarious... as they were walking along the street, they shouted out loud the likes of "ムック最高!" and "タツ Yeah!". A number of muckers in the crowd responded with loud cheers. :) And check out their jerseys! I think they must be Tatsu's pals, cos as it turns out, they were seated at the 関係者section of the first row of 一階. After the live, as we were exiting, we saw them again. This time, it was even funnier XD XD... as they were moving amongst the crowds (in the opposite direction, as they were heading backstage), they said out loud "やっぱり...ムック最高!!!"... 这种一心想帮ムック做宣传的行为,我。。。喜欢!!!XD XD XD

As it grew closer to the 进場time, the crowd grew in numbers... (excitement in the air!)

One of the best 朽木の灯cosplayers I've seen... the complete line-up too... ooh yes, even the attitude they exude in their poses match the originals!

Just one pic. Reminiscent of childhood, eh.

Was trying to catch hold of my thoughts and writing them down when suddenly, it occurred to me that sometimes, some things are better left out there. To be forgotten.

Rather late to be commenting on this, but just for the record, i really like the new mucc official page.

Especially that 55-69 scooter at the corner. :)

In the member pages, my favourite is ムック荘, especially how they've put in all the 'relevant' shops for each member. I especially like Yukke's barber shop! :)

My only concern is the excessive use of English... like "...it was attested..."... and even the updates are now written all in romaji. I wonder why that's so.

Just looking at the pic makes me drool again...

My Date with the Hospital Part II

I officially declare this week "Scenic Visits the Hospital Repeatedly Week".
It comes in close with "Scenic Gets Sent Running All Over Hospital to Find her Missing File Week".
So tired...
And is it true? The first sign that age is catching up with you is when the nurses start pre-fixing your name with "Madam"??? They never used to do that! Am so not used to hearing that, I almost missed my name being called...
And because of all this hospital stuff, I had to give up on free tickets to Krrish's world premiere. Shiiiitttt. World premiere!!! *grumbles. I mean, it's totally not worth it because the lousy MO they assigned to me was so presumptious and made the whole visit such an uncomfortable experience. I'm not even sure whether the "ear toilet" thing was really effective.
Gah!
Photos to cheer me up:

In a daze...*_*;;

Spent a good part of today (4-9pm) at the A&E dept of a local hospital.
Yes, it's because of that..that..that fish bone!

The story goes...

I visited a local clinic first... the GP tried to fish (pardon the pun!) for the bone, but despite all that prodding, she just couldn't find it, so referred me to the A&E dept of the nearest hospital instead.

On my way to the hospital, I couldn't feel my throat at all, cos the GP had used a local anaesthetic there. Gosh.. i was tawwgging laik dis..

At the A&E, things were going surprisingly smooth.. i mean, i haven't been to the A&E depts of local hospitals in a long time (thankfully), but the last time i was there, i remembered waiting like 235261 hours before being attended to. But this time, everything was quite systematic. Screening, payment, prelim checks, X-ray, etc. Smooth all the way.

So i thought, hey, maybe I can get out within 2 hours!

But cos the A&E doc wanted the ENT specialist's opinion, I had to wait for...
another...
3...
hours...
... ... ...

Really, it couldn't be helped lah... he was in an op, and my case wasn't exactly serious...
I just had to while away that time loh...
Went to the canteen and O_O
Suddenly saw this guy who was like my first major crush in high school XD
*averted..siam..*
Why, actually? Not like there's anything to be embarrassed about!

Went back to wait at A&E and promptly finished Vol 22 of Bleach.
wtf, the captains/v-captains are in ichigo's school???!!
where's the plot going???!!

Okay.. this entry's starting to sound really boring eh?

Anyway, to cut things short, the main challenge I had today was when the ENT specialist looked down my throat via my nostril... valiantly trying NOT to think of that thick black tube going down my nose... and trying NOT to swallow... and tearing... and gagging again... AND still hoping to remain dignified. No way!!!

Moral of the story: Don't talk when you eat fish.

Tired. Dem tired.
Chop chop.

I can't access a lot of internet sites at new workplace. :(
Including any web-based emails! :( :(
Suckidoodum.

New workplace people seem nice except one who's shitty.
But the one who's shitty seems to be the centre-person of the group.
Bah, people politics. Hate it.

Work is interesting, but complex. My brain's totally fried.
I need to get used to thinking again lah.
But because of unfamiliarity with a lot of the technical aspects of the work, my confidence level is at an all-time low.
Need to work on that.

Today someone asked me again about another job offer. Wavered for a moment there. He even said he would speak to my new boss. But, I can't possibly do that. It's too soon.

Gotta give myself more time to adapt.

Because this work porfolio has some 'block-out' dates, like when some negotiations take place..
so there are practical concerns for the '69Days' tour (the real priority here!!!).
Am really worried about the last 3 Ebisu Liquidroom dates, because I stole the look at the schedule in the coming months, and there's a week of negotiations happening in the week directly after the Ebisu dates.
Problem is, currently the officer overseeing that project is due to give birth in Oct, and I'm basially supposed to take over most of her stuff.
Which means there's a good chance I can't take leave for the Ebisu dates!
Even without that week of negotiations, am wondering whether I'll be able to take leave once that colleague goes on Maternity Leave.
TTOTT
Am rather worried, but guess I'll just have to see how it goes.
Why are the live dates all (okay, most) on weekdays!! urrgh.

Whatever it is, am determined to catch the 69Days tour, even if it's just 1 live.
The only chance to hear some old songs.
And hopefully, 傘がない !

Back in Tokyo... making an entry while waiting for yuj to receive an email...
Came back from a 2 day trip to Kamikochi last evening... Kamikochi is absolutely beautiful... no wonder they call it the Japan Alps... Glad to have gotten fresh air, good walking and lotsa laughs in the last 2 days...

As for the lives this trip,
well, the 2 TBH lives had similar setlists... I preferred the Nagoya Diamond Club Hall live, though. Perhaps it was the first live of the trip, or perhaps it was the smaller live house atmosphere, or it could have been the crowd... the crowd up front at Osaka Namba Hatch was quite violent --;;

But both times, TBH showed me yet again how good a band they are. This time round, I was watching Kohshu more often during the lives. Quite a number of the newer songs have interesting basslines, so it was great just watching him immerse himself in his playing.

Since the last time I saw them, TBH gave the impression that they have grown up. Good feeling, ne.

Most memorable moment was at the Nagoya live during 世界の果てで . Was transported into a different timezone during that song.

As for 666, most memorable song was 朽木の塔, the opening song for the live. The rendition was excellent... it instantaneously sucked all the people at Budokan into their music. Thanks to yuj's good luck, we had excellent arena seats, directly in front of Tatsurou... and unblocked! The overall impression of the live was that the members really did give their best for the performance and put up a good show for everyone. The setlist was similar to the Shanghai lives. Ironically, the other memorable portion of the live for me wasnt another song, but rather the clip they played at the end...which you can see on the mucc homepage now. Was rather moved by it.

Okay, yuj is done, gotta go!

Just came back from The Back Horn live @ Nagoya Diamond Hall.
Can't blog much cos only one computer's internet connection is working and there are people waiting to use this computer...
But just wanted to say that yes, the live was awesome!
Only regret is that it was too short! It started about 10 min after 7pm, and ended at around 8.45pm!
Hall was almost filled, audience response was great!
Black Hole Birthday live is still THE best.
Chaos Diver live drove the audience totally WILD.

ok, later...

Last day at work today... it was a whirlwind of tying up loose ends, saying bye to colleagues, filing stuff, handing over, tidying up...

In the midst of it all, my division came trooping by with a large box that had cows drawn all over it... my boss handed it to me and joked about how they chose the cows because i provide nutrients (milk!!?) to the division...O_o;;; but seriously, the cows are kinda cute and i thought well at least it rhymes with my sirname XD

Anyway, I opened up the box and saw that they had bought a quaint lil' bag for me (so sweet)... dug deeper (it was a deep box) and there was an item each from each member. I was supposed to guess who bought what. Item by item... ... I got them all right! Wine from alcohol-crazy colleague, interesting brand of beer from adventurous colleague, bear biscuits from snacking colleague, nuts from boss who's fond of nibbling them, etc etc

It's been a year. It somehow seems longer than that. With all that time spent in the office, no wonder we've gotten to know each other so well in such a short period of time. Will I miss their company? Yes. Very much in fact. Other colleagues also popped by with presents, I felt so loved suddenly ;_; And some of these are colleagues that belong to a different world from me, and yet, we have managed to work quite well together.

Too many thoughts, too little time. I can only think of my time here as an eye-opening, rewarding experience. What will the future hold, I don't know, but at least I have made some good contacts and friends here.

To my boss, I admit I still leave with some regret. I do regret not staying longer to help him out and see some things through. Yes, despite the fact that he did not take my resignation too well at first, I must say I will miss working for him. It is not often that you can find a boss you can learn so much from, nor one who you know if you had met him outside of work, you'd have wanted to be friends with (not that we're not friends now).

Japan, here I come! And after that, a new chapter of my life begins.
