天嘉III

Peeks into the recent Danger live event are here! --> 天嘉III
Hey, mucc sang [暁闇] ~ cool! (^_^)/

The various bands' live goods are quite interesting, hehee. SOAP has a Paradise Cap for like every wardrobe colour.. ;P There's one T-shirt for each La Vie en Rose member! Their ラヴィアンローズ×MappaコラボTシャツ motif is quite cool. & wonder what's in Mucc's 福袋..

やった。。。

I finally figured out how to access the last 2 remaining hidden tracks for The Worst DVD! (^^)

Last night I found the second last one, and tonight the last one. It has really taken me bit by bit to get to the last one. When the last hidden track popped up, I couldn't stop smiling (^___^)

It has felt like some secret personal accomplishment...extremely rewarding...and yes every DVD easter egg (aka hidden track) fan should check this DVD out :)

I actually have a number of questions arising from watching the DVD. But uhm, don't really know who to discuss them with.

More on the DVD's hidden tracks

More on the DVD's hidden tracks, because I feel that they are very worthy of mention!

Mucc's DVD hidden tracks are by far the most complex that I have come across! Yes, I'd even say it is more elaborate than the Star Wars trilogy hidden tracks!!

I'm really impressed... (^__^)

And not only are there so many hidden tracks..each track is also quite substantial, so it's definitely worthy to search for them.

What happened for me was this... first night (Wednesday) I received the DVD I found 4 hidden tracks. Thursday I found another 2, so that makes it only 6 out of 12! But I really wanted to see the rest of the hidden tracks that night, so I watched all 12 on my laptop's DVD Rom. They were great!!!

Then, I felt that although I've watched them on the DVD Rom, it was still absolutely vital (yes it was!!) that I figure out how to access the remaining 6 using the TV remote control. So I set off to do just that... on Friday night, I figured out how to use the TV remote control to access 1 more hidden track. On Saturday night another 1 more, and on Sunday night another 2 more.

So...*drum roll*... at the moment I've figured out how to access 10 out of the 12 hidden tracks using the TV remote. Yes!! & I'm proud to say I've done all that myself without any help at all from anyone or any website or any DVD code cracker! (^_^)Y

Hm..the remaining 2 is tough! (^^;) But I'll persevere!! *wipes away sweat*

And I'm curious why they did not mention one other hidden track, although I guess that one was easier to find. Anyway that brings the actual number of hidden tracks to 13.

(Heehee...I actually did up a table with instructions on how to access each hidden track...email me if you're interested! ^^)

To think it's the first time I get to see footage of the Ibarakian bands sessions, and it has to involve so... many... raw... eggs...8P

~~~I'm feeling so high I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight *chuckle*
Omedetou~
The Worst DVD debuts at No.10 on the Oricon DVD charts~~~omedetou! ^_^
(one-liner blogging @ work using the rather user-friendly blogger button that comes with the Google toolbar)
Za Worst DVD is ze BEST
It's worth every penny ^_^
As expected, Speedpost Singapore didn't call me even though they said they would do so after they send the parcel to the Post Office near my workplace. Luckily for the EMS tracking system, I knew it had been sent, so I happily trooped down there after work to collect it.
There was such a crowd there! It's the X'mas crowd..everyone's trying to get their presents sent off in time. Finally after a long wait, I could collect the parcel!
Surprise! It was in a long box??! It's more than just the DVD!?!
Oh the joy as I left the Post Office! ^^
Does the poster come with the DVD? Was so happy to see it when I opened the box! ^^ & thank goodness CDJapan packed it quite intelligently. No creases! (unlike some friends' experiences with HMV Japan..)
After 2 hr, I haven't finished exploring the DVD yet! ^^
The indies footages are so priceless! & , they even have a version with the members' commentary! That was really unexpected...a big plus! I don't think i have discovered all the hidden tracks yet (I hope not anyway!), only the more obvious ones.. Rare rare rare footages.. Those songs I haven't heard them sing live before.. & I never thought I'd be able to watch their very first live...filmed by Yukke... with skinhead Tarou! ^^;
Then there's Yukke's very first performance with the band...Yukke stole my heart in this DVD *smiles* On the main tracks.. you'll know which track I'm talking about :)
There were some scenes we'd already seen before in previous DVDs/recordings, but these were few.. most of the footage is new... 6 Jan 04 Quattro encore footage brought back wonderful memories!! ^^ Too bad they didn't have the 29 Oct 04 Namba footage.. Actually, when i was watching the 31 Oct Hibiya live, I suddenly felt v embarrassed at myself..was just quite regretful of two things during the last 2 lives I caught...29 Oct, about how I forgot about the 500Yen and looked so desperate..gosh , I really hope no cameras were around then.. and then on 31 Oct, I don't know what I was concerned about prior to the live.. the feeling that it was the last mucc live for the trip just made me feel down down down.
The recordings!! Watching them at the recording studio was just awesome. So now we know who's in the "hand clapping team"! ^^
I liked the rehearsal where the lights on stage went on full-blast and the three of them (as they were watching Satochi on the stage) went WOOAAAHH!!! ^_____^ ^O^
They've really come a long way..
^_^
On my toes..
Mucc's The Worst DVD appears to have been released early. Some fans who are even outside of Japan have already watched it! CDJapan has informed me that my package is on the way...yosh! Since I'll not be home during the day, I called up Speedpost to ask them to deliver it to the Post Office near my workplace...so that I can collect it myself. Knowing Speedpost's track record, they're bound to screw it up...*cross my fingers*...oh well.
Found out only today that there was a session event (セッション大会) that mucc participated in recently (on 12 Dec) in Yokohama, together with The Yellow Monkey, The Jetze Johnson and a few other bands. Thing is...I have to admit it's still hard for me to find latest news about the band's activities. Especially things they don't announce on their official homepage. A friend has helped me with the club membership, but she (or rather her hubby) is rather slow going about it so up till today, I still can't access the member pages. I don't even know whether he has gone round to sending in my application yet. Not a good foreboding of things to come, but well, guess I had no choice. Searched and googled for up-to-date mucc BBSes but couldn't seem to find any...asked Peggy in Japan cos she mentioned there was a good one, but no reply from her either. The English-speaking fans seem to be more concerned about fan-art and cosplaying (and of course fan-fiction). Sigh... is information such a precious thing that can't be shared with a fellow mucc fan?? If anyone reading this has a good up-to-date BBS or website to recommend, please, please let me know. I would be eternally grateful.
Some articles~
Stumbled on mucc's palm reading experience. It's quite an interesting read. :)
Miya mentioned in the Oct Fool's Mate article that the guitar solos in [isho] were actually played using the e-bow. I'm no guitarist, so I had to search the web to find out what that means.
e-bow.com has quite a lot of info on this guitar effect. Essentially, the e-bow is a hand-held electronic bow for the guitar. You can see on the website what it looks like -- a somewhat small, battery-operated device you use with your right hand (instead of the pick). There are some sound samples here showing how it allows the guitarist to mimic strings, and woodwinds and even the harmonica.
