Go to DMC! ~T-shirt Collab

It's the most outrageous manga i've read in a while! XD XD

While waiting for the 3rd volume of the manga to get translated, here're some pics from the launch of the 3rd volume @ Shibuya Tower Records from 27-29 April 2007

Entrance of Shibuya Tower Records

Maybe I'm biased, but i think Mucc's collab Tee has got the most innovative idea! It's a coupling tour for DMC & Mucc!!! *dies laughing... & they've drawn themselves in DMC-manga style, with make! arrrr... *dies some more. The first stop of their tour is Rock Maykan :) & making a twist out of their recent "Psychedelic Analysis" Tour, they've named it "Satanic Analysis" Tour.. orz... XD

I only managed to get myself to the exhibition on 29 April, and by that time the S and M sizes for the Tee were already sold out... but after i came back i ordered the tee online... cos i just couldn't resist the baka-ness of it all! :P

Punk'en Ciel's collab Tee design

yuj,
there were lots and lots of people crowding around the laruku ones... expected i suppose! :)

did you spot a "TBH" in Vol. 1 Track 8 of the manga? i also saw something that looked like "Gingnan Boyz" in Vol. 1... hahhaa... maybe in the next vol. we might find "Mucc"

hmm maybe a silly question XD...what is DMC?

josu,

It's a comic (relatively new, with only 3 volumes so far) which revolves around this metal indies band with a rather "reluctant" vocalist/guitarist. It's rather outrageous (lots of coarse language & funny situations), and apparently it has captured the hearts of a number of bands & musicians XD mucc included! XD

i don't know if it's been translated into english yet... wonder if there are any scanlations on the web?

aha, so is something like an alternative/visual version of Beck?

By the way, have you seen the new photos in the profile of mucc's site?
With their new look, Tatsurou and Miya look like they have rejuvenated a few years XD

Still getting used to seeing Miya's shiny chin, heeheh.. have you seen the band's jp yahoo pages? they've got a public blog there now! too bad we can't see the weekly live videos though! TOT

i have only read a few pages of Beck so far, so i guess i can't quite comment, but i think the manga erm.. style is also quite different! xD

i have no idea of that page, what is the url? the closest thing i have found is http://livetalk.yahoo.co.jp/event/mucc/index.html but i dont think is the page you said.

As for the Beck manga, i have read it or watched the anime neither, but what i mean, is that Beck looks like a story about a Jrock band, while DMC seems that focus more in the visual kei scene (maybe i'm totally wrong XD)

"As for the Beck manga, i have read it or watched the anime neither"

i mean...i haven't XD

yup it's the correct page! u just got to click on the link that says: ムック 期間限定ブログ(Yahoo!ブログ)

looks like the next manga i should pick up is Beck then!

Beck is about a more western style Jrock band, the band leader and his sister return to Japan from the U.S., and he has a friend in a world renown band. And that's why the band leader has a legendary guitar which has a story behind it. Kinda fun to watch the anime, but i haven't read the manga.

And D.M.C. is a death metal band, not actually a Visual kei, but Krauser II, the leader, in fact love swedish pop and indie pop, that is how all those gags produced. The author himeself is a fan of shibuya kei and indie pop, there are lots of elements come from the shibuya kei big names in the manga. And quite some metal fans in Japan feel blues over the manga :) I guess why it attracts so many musicians it's because there are many insdier jokes there.

scenic, no i haven't spot TBH there, i should read it again!
