As you can imagine, I'm totally distracted at work this week ~_~;
I can't imagine what it'll be like next Mon *sheepish look*... anyone asking me a question at work will only get a glazed look from me, i'm sure! The irritating thing is, now there's a meeting arranged at 5.30pm next Mon.. which I'm sure will end 7.30pm...earliest!! Then I'll have to tie up all the follow-up loose ends that night.. probably till 10pm...earliest!! Have these people no concept of 'working hours'!!? Grr.
You lose some, you win some. After the incredible luck of successfully balloting for mucc tickets this round, I seem to be on a spate of bad luck when it comes to recent shopping experiences. First there was the colouring of my hair. To my horror, I found out that my hair colour is leaking!! Yes, you read right, I said it's leaking!! And since the colour I chose was red, now everytime my hair gets wet, it looks like I'm having my period..except it's dripping from my head -_- This is what happens when you try out neighbourhood hairstylists!! It'll be the last time I do that, I tellya! And I really want to go back to the hairstylist to complain about it (it's really unacceptable.. it's the 3rd wash already and the colour's still leaking!), but by the time I get back home (cos the hairstylist's near my place), it's past their opening hours. My mum says there's nothing much they can do anyway, i'll just have to let the colour run out by and by. But hey, I think they owe me an apology at least!! Hmph.
Then there was the absurd lunch experience at the Longfeng Chinese restaurant at Liang Court. My family wanted to check out the place last Sun as it was a new outlet and they're giving away a roast duck dish for free if you have sufficient people at your table. (Plus I realized later that this was also the same restaurant, though at another location years ago, where my parents held their wedding dinner ;)) Anyway, the place was so badly managed! Our reservations were lost, no waiters came to set up our table (my cousin singlehandedly set it up herself!), tea took forever to come, as did our food, our order form got lost, we were informed that a few items that we were ordered were not available only after like 70% of the meal was served, and they couldn't produce the roast duck! Gosh, so many tables around us left even before the food arrived! Well the only redeeming factor about 'tonging' at the place for so long was, in the end to placate us they let us have the meal for free.
Then tonight... went to Sim Lim Square w my brother and sis-in-law to get a digicam for the coming trip. I'll cut the crap but just say one thing: avoid Hai Chew Electronics on the 1st floor. I know a number of shops at SLS aren't that ethical, but this one tops the cake. Was so peeved off I asked for my money back. Am never gonna go gaoguan the store again. Or even SLS for that matter, if I can help it - serious!
Right, enuff complaining in a blog entry. Actually the only thing that still bothers me is the hair colour leaking thingy. Hafta do something about it or I'll end up with red-stained tops.
